First Listen: Lady Gaga, Hair
Last night I had the misfortune of seeing Priest at the movies and I say that because everything I had seen to promote the film led me to believe that it was going to be an entertaining sci-fi action film. What it really turned out to be was an extremely boring, slow-paced snoozefest that had absolutely NOTHING resembling entertainment to offer. I can’t say that Priest was the worst movie I’ve ever seen but I can honestly say that it’s not a movie that I needed at all to see … or will ever want to sit thru again.
Essentially, everything is wrong with his movie … just all of it. The worst part, tho, had to be the writing. The lines that the actors had to deliver was just so terrible I had to keep myself from laughing out loud thruout the entire movie. The second worst part was the acting. Cam Giganet was such a joke, I couldn’t take anything he did in this movie seriously. Paul Bettany, the star, was OK but even he struggled … the movie is so bad that he really didn’t have anything to work with. For a vampire film, Priest was not scary or even tense. For an action film, the fight scenes were pretty much nonexistent. For a sci-fi film, the FX were just lame. It really sucks when you see a movie that you think is going to be good and all you get is boring drivel. I am familiar with the Priest graphic novel and I have to say, this film does that story a huge disservice. I cannot recommend that anyone waste their time with this film. If you are curious, wait til it comes out on Netflix or cable so you can watch it for free. At least then, the only thing you have to lose is your time.

Watch: HBO Releases A Full Length Trailer For True Blood Season 4
A few weeks ago, I finally finished reading the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy … Mockingjay. Because David and I were traveling and then a host of other things distracted me, I never got the chance to blog about the book. Now that all of the tributes have been cast for the upcoming Hunger Games film, I’m really getting anxious to see the story brought to life on the big screen. Read on for some of my (possibly spoilery) thoughts on the final book of the Hunger Games trilogy.
To be honest, I kinda had a feeling that the final book was not going to end on a happy note. Considering the way that Catching Fire ended, it was plainly obvious that the final book was going to be war-centric. I can understand why some fans feel that Mockingjay is the worst of the 3 books but I honestly loved it … and felt that, in the end, the trilogy stands as an excellent series of books. My guess is that the folks who do not care for Mockingjay take great issue with the fact that the book did not end happily. I can think of one death in particular that prolly angered a great many fans. Because that death took such an innocent character, it makes sense that there would be anger. Mockingjay makes the excellent point, tho, that War is Hell. Death can strike anyone … and even the people who you thought were the good guys sometimes do bad things. I can only judge Mockingjay in context with the two previous books … and as a trilogy, I loved The Hunger Games. I’m not going to lie tho … I did have strong feelings when I finished the book. I was obviously sad and angry … but any book that can make me feel that way has to be a damn good book. I am really curious to see how these tales will be told on the big screen. The first film will really give us a good idea of how well the books will be represented on the screen.
I’m curious … can those of you who have strong feelings — either good or bad — about the final book chime in? I’d love to hear what other people think of the book.
It’s Friday and time for the weekend. My dear friend Monique is visiting LA this weekend from Hong Kong and we are going with my friend Eileen to see Prince at The Forum. Yes, I know … more Prince? Yep. As I said, I will see him as many times as I can while he is still playing here. It’s so crazy to get to see one of your fave musicians over and over and over and for such a small price. Let the weekend commence!!

Peace Out, El Lay! Vanessa Hudgens Is Moving!
That's right, she's saying good-bye to the west side!
Vanessa Hudgens was recently spotted at a Calvin Klein event at the Cannes Film Festival last night, and overheard telling friends that she's relocating to New York City full-time!
A source explains:
"She was super excited about it. She was also excited to hang with Rosario Dawson. The [...]
This is not good, Uganda.
While we were expecting to hear that the death penalty had been stripped from the anti-homosexuality bill in at least a small step in the right direction, we're hearing that that isn't the case anymore:
According to the report, MP David Bahati, author of the legislation that was first introduced in October 2009, reportedly told the committee that the death penalty could be stripped from the bill. The committee, however, decided to keep the death penalty, by rewording the provision to match the current penal code making "aggravated defilement" punishable by death.
The Ugandan Parliament's Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee will recommend the version of the Anti-Homosexuality bill that retains the death penalty for acts of "aggravated homosexuality."
The committee's report does remove some provisions, but adds criminal penalties for "conducting a marriage ceremony between persons of the same sex."
The bill has been publicly condemned by our State Department and other countries abroad. And of course, we don't support it either. Even if the harshest punishments are removed, the bill itself still remains discriminatory.
Bahati argues that everything is done with the Democratic process, so there can't be anything wrong with it.
Making people fear that their human rights could be viewed as illegal and punishable by death seems like there is everything wrong with it.
We hope there are changes coming for Uganda. They deserve to be whoever they were born to be.
Equality for all!

With less than 10 eps left until The Oprah Winfrey Show goes off the air for good, rumor and speculation is running rampant as to who the final guests will be. According to a new report, that MUST be taken with a grain of salt as there is NO confirmation whatsoever, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith are said to be Oprah‘s chosen final guests. IMHO, Oprah could’ve gotten someone bigger (anyone at all) but if this report turns out to be true, Will and Jada will have the distinction of being the last guests ever on The Oprah Show.
There has been much speculation over who will be given the honour of being Oprah Winfrey’s last ever guest as her show comes to a close after 25 years. And if recent reports are to be believed, the ‘chosen ones’ to appear on the May 25 show are going to be Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Fans and media reports have been trying to guess who will make the last entrance on the talk show titan’s stage but The Daily reports it will be the Smiths. Options had included Oprah’s long term boyfriend Stedman Graham, couch-jumper Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, Gabrielle Giffords or her protégé Dr Phil McGraw. Smith and his wife and children have been on Oprah’s show many times in the past. Karate Kid star Jaden and Whip My Hair singer Willow have previously joined their parents on the famous couch. With only ten shows left, fans are excited to see who will be on the final episodes. Two of the hours will reportedly be dedicated to A Million Little Pieces author James Frey.
HMMM … this is an interesting report … I’m not sure I totally believe it but the Smiths are as plausible as any other guest. I was under the impression that the last episode ever of The Oprah Winfrey Show would feature no guests at all … just Oprah and her audience. There isn’t much time left until the final episode of Oprah airs and then is gone forever. Do you think Will and Jada Smith will be the final guests? If you could pick, who would YOU like to see as the final guest ever on The Oprah Winfrey Show?

Taylor Momsen Jessica Szohr Will NOT Be Returning To Gossip Girl Next Season
On tonight’s episode of Glee, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) duets with Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) on Adele‘s stunningly beautiful song Rolling in the Deep. We are still a few hours away from tonight’s ep of Glee … but if you just can’t wait any longer, you can check out video from tonight’s ep of Rachel and Jesse‘s duet below.
This is truly one of my fave new songs. I’m not surprised at all that Glee chose it for tonight’s ep … and I am really loving this version of the song. Glee gets some of the songs they cover very right … this is case in point. What do you think of this Glee version of Rolling in the Deep?

Hilary Clinton was spotted taking a bite out of dictators in Rome on Thursday night!
The U.S. Secretary of State dined with her team of colleagues, while in Italy to discuss Libyan leader Muammar Quaddafi's frozen assets and reportedly release the money to aid Libyans caught in the country's conflict.
Doesn't look like they're focusing too much on the issue at hand with all that wine around, but everyone needs to cut loose every once in a while! Ha!

Flavor Flav Being Sued For A Buck, Buck Over Chicken Restaurant
This was such a bad idea - a bad idea right from the very start. He's sorely regretting getting involved now!

Tommy claims the pair were supposed to be [...]
This morning, al-Qaida took to militant websites to confirm to their followers that Osama Bin Laden is dead and in fact died at the hands of courageous Americans on Sunday.
Well, courageous to us. As you can imagine, they don't think too highly of us right now.
The statement released by Osama's duputies wished their "holy" leader be blessed by God and vowed retaliation on America for his death. Their statement reads:
"The blood of the holy warrior sheik, Osama bin Laden, God bless him, is too precious to us and to all Muslims to go in vain. We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries.
Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness, their blood will be mingled with their tears."
Uh-huh. That's what you think. In the words of Hillary Clinton, "You cannot defeat us." We're already putting the kibosh on one of your attacks right now!
Turns out, shortly after the al-Qaida released their confirmation, materials obtained by the Navy SEALs who killed the al-Qaida leader revealed that the terrorists were planning on derailing an American train on the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. One idea outlined in handwritten notes, presumed to be from February 2010, was to "tamper with an unspecified U.S. rail track so that a train would fall off the track at a valley or a bridge."
Consider that plan DONEZO!
This is the beginning of the end. Consider your days numbered!!!
